Jan Wayne Schenk, age 82, of Lebanon, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2022 in Camdenton, Missouri after a short stay at Windsor Estates.
Jan was born in St. Louis, Missouri to Raymond and Helen [Smith] Schenk on July 4, 1940. He was raised in Osceola, Arkansas and then joined the US Navy after high school.
After his military service Jan worked many different jobs. Before his retirement, he worked for Missouri Hospital Association.
Jan always made everyone laugh. He loved to tease everyone especially kids. He loved to fish, work puzzles and was a die-hard Kansas City Chiefs fan.
Jan is survived by his wife, Patricia [Hartman], of Lebanon, Missouri; two sons, Jon and his wife Fawn of Camdenton, Missouri and Jason and his wife Lynne of Nixa, Missouri; one grandson, Seth of Lake Ozark, Missouri; two granddaughters, Hannah Overstreet and her husband TJ of Centerton, Arkansas and Elizabeth Schenk of Clarksville, Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by both his parents, his twin brother, Dan and one son, Eric Schenk.
Jan was loved by many family and friends. He was always smiling and happy to see anyone who stopped by to visit.
Graveside service will be held at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Hartsburg, Missouri on Friday, September 30, 2022 at 11 am with Derek Yarber officiating.
