Obituary of Denise Maloney
Denise Jo Maloney, 63, of Lake Ozark passed away unexpectedly on January 30, 2018 in Kansas City, Missouri. She was born Denise Pederson on March 15, 1954 to John “Pete” and Jeanette (Seifert) Pederson in Downey, California.
On February 23, 1976, she married Daniel W. Maloney in Houston, Texas where they resided for many years. In June of 1991, they moved to the Lake of the Ozarks where Denise worked 17 years for the School of the Osage school district. She retired from her position as Principal Administrative Assistant at Osage High School in 2011. She loved spending time with her family, her pets, good Tex-Mex and any opportunity to laugh.
Left to mourn her absence is devoted husband Dan Maloney of Lake Ozark; two children, Jason (Anne) Turner of Dallas, Texas and Shannon (Edith) Maloney-Navarro of Kansas City, Missouri; five grandchildren, Gracie Turner, Jake Turner, Jack Turner, Drew Turner, and Tristan Maloney-Navarro; a twin brother Dennis (Emily) Pederson of Houston, Texas and sister Vicki Boynton of Houston, Texas and many more cherished loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her parents, in-laws William and Bonnie (Rafferty) Maloney, brother-in-law Charlie Boynton, sister-in-law Theresa (Maloney) Maue and beloved aunt Florence (Siefert) Boegh.
Those wishing to pay their respects to the family may do so from 2-4:30pm on Monday, February 5th at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home Osage Beach. A celebration of life social gathering will follow at 6pm. Location to be determined.In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Denise’s name to the Special Olympics, an organization she actively supported for many years or the Humane Society.
