Don was a tablemate with my Dad, Bill Gilliam, at the nursing home in Osage Beach. They told each other WWII stories, and stories about working at MoDot. Don said grace before each meal. He and Dad talked about the Bible. Don was kind and we all enjoyed his company and jokes. When Dad was unresponsive I went down to Don's room to check on him. He asked me to take him to Dad's room. He held Dad's hand and prayed the sweetest prayer for my Dad. Don cried and asked that I take him back to his room. He made a kind impression on my heart. He'll always be remembered. God speed Don.
What a wonderful, sweet man with a quick smile and hello! I will miss him.
So sorry for your loss!! Don was one of the best guys I knew growing up!!!
