Obituary of Catherine Ann Boillot

Please share a memory of Catherine to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother Catherine Ann “Kay” (Boehmer) Boillot went to heaven with family at her side Saturday, November 19, 2022, in Ozark, Missouri.

Kay was born May 8, 1933, in Rich Fountain, Missouri, where she was raised with her eight brothers and sisters.

On August 27, 1955, Kay married William Leo “Bill” Boillot in Rich Fountain. Their life together began when they first met at the Hillbilly Village in Jefferson City and the meeting launched a lasting partnership. They shared 65 years of marriage.

Kay and Bill lived in Jefferson City and Camdenton, where they raised five children and were active, valued members of the  community. Kay worked for the City of Camdenton as the city  collector and in other capacities for 27 years. Upon retirement, a letter from the city referred to her as Camdenton’s first lady. Following retirement, she continued to interact with the community as a checker at Gerbes supermarket.

Kay was known for her loving, caring spirit and her selfless dedication to her children and husband. She was a faithful and devoted member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church from 1963-2018. Kay was also involved with the Cam-Ark Literary Club, the local women's sorority Beta Sigma Phi and the St. Anthony's Ladies Auxiliary.

She enjoyed many types of games and activities. In addition to being an avid bingo player, she was a longtime bridge enthusiast and loved playing golf with friends. She and Bill were charter members of Lake Valley Country Club. They also loved watching and attending St. Louis Cardinals games.

Kay is survived by son Steve Boillot and wife Toni of Ozark, Missouri, son Dan Boillot of Topeka, Kansas; daughter Diane Long and  husband Ed of Ozark, Missouri; daughter Brenda Spurgeon and husband Dennis of Rolla, Missouri, daughter Vicki Tramel and husband Jimmie of Verdigris, Oklahoma; grandchildren Stacy and Kayla Bruemmer; Derek and Denver Spurgeon; Ashley Boillot-Fansher, Heather Palisi and Garrett Boillot; Katie and Kal Tramel; Carrie Bryer, Debbie DeMott and Leslie Tenney and numerous great grandchildren. Kay is also survived by her beloved sisters Lil Boehmer, Gerry Neeley and Bernie Lootens, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Kay was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; her parents, Adolph and Cecilia Boehmer; and brothers Frank, John, George, Alex and Wilfred Boehmer.

The Boillot family and all our family and friends thank God for blessing their lives with Catherine (Kay) Boillot, an amazingly compassionate, caring and selfless woman. We continue our lives on Earth with the confidence that she is in the loving hands of God. She will always be in our hearts and our family is comforted knowing she is watching over us with pride and love from Heaven.
